The Monitoring Server in the Digital Banking
Platform is designed for monitoring the states
of self-service devices (ATM, kiosks) and
cashiers workstations (Cashier application).
The system provides detailed information about
the states of devices and applications. Remote
management is supported. You can track current
parameters of the devices, remotely configure
and update the software and part of the
maintenance operations with the help of the
Monitoring system. Management and configuration
are performed through Monitoring Studio.

The Monitoring Server allows sending various
commands to the service points and control
their execution.
These can be commands like:
• Run a command (from the list)
• Run a bat file
• Get log files for a certain period of time
• Lock (unlock) the device
• Get a screen-shot from the device’s screen
• Restart the device or the management software
• Update the management software

Monitoring service provides tools for monitoring
and managing service points, peripheral devices
and obtains their status. The statuses of devices
from different vendors are brought to a
standardized message format. Service points
are permanently connected with the Monitoring
Server; information is transferred in online mode.

Software update

Monitoring Service provides software updates
on points of service.
The process of installing the updates includes
the following steps:
• Registration of client software in the monitoring
• Creating the update package
• Sending the package to a point as an update task
• View the results of updating
It is possible to update the software on a certain
point of service or in a point group. Updating is
performed within no-activity period.

Monitoring service allows you to view statistics
based on the received data. A set of standard
reports is supported, for example, a report on
the reasons of points inoperability for the
certain period. All reports data can be
exported to Excel.

according to their roles (for example,
cashier, collector, technician and so on).

Traffic optimization

TCP protocol is used to optimize the traffic and
to provide flawless points work with weak
communication channels. Traffic is compressed
in both directions. Resuming of files uploading
is supported in case of connection lost. As the
channel is back to work, downloading started
from the moment of breakage rather than
from the very beginning.

TLS-connection support. There is no incoming
network connection from the server to the
service points. The service points initiate
connection with the Monitoring Server by
themselves, which increases the security level
of each device and allows placing devices
behind NAT (in Monitoring Server it looks
like the points share the same IP-address).
